Heyworth School District completed the new addition (gymnasium, fitness center, locker rooms, and offices) last fall with the intent of allowing community members to use the fitness center. The pandemic and associated restrictions delayed the usage of the space, but the school district is opening the doors to Hornet Fitness Center beginning July 6th for community members 18 years and older.

Community members can sign up in the district office between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Forms are also available on the district website. An annual donation of $50 will be used to purchase cleaning supplies and equipment for the fitness center. The fitness center summer hours are from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. seven days a week. Student athletes and staff have been using the space and new equipment all year, and we are excited to share it with the community also. The track at Hornet Stadium is also open for community use, and we just ask that everyone help keep our spaces neat and clean.
