Welcome to the Special Education homepage. I am pleased to be serving Heyworth CUSD #4 as Special Education Administrator.
Heyworth CUSD #4 is part of Tri-County Special Education Association. Tri-County is a decentralized cooperative. This means that member districts provide special education programs to students with disabilities, while the cooperative provides support services to districts, students and families. Support services might include occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological services, program consultation and professional development. Heyworth CUSD #4 schools offer a continuum of services for students with disabilities. For students who require specialized academic and behavioral support, additional programs are available in designated locations.
It is a privilege to serve students with disabilities and ensure that their education and related services are appropriate in degree and amount related to individual needs.
I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from Illinois State University. I also hold the Director of Special Education endorsement. I have worked in the field of Special Education Administration for the past eighteen years as Director, Assistant Director and Special Education Administrator.
On a personal note, I am excited to be continuing my career in education closer to home and my family. It is my goal to combine my range of experience and knowledge with my passion to make positive contributions to the Heyworth school district. I look forward to making connections with you, students and families!
